In bitter cold, today, Jeremy and Chris began to put together the summer home for the geese.  Sited near the pond the geese will be able to waddle down to the waters edge and swim in the water all day long. I helped to put on the doors and roof this afternoon and we covered it with a waterproof felt. Over the weekend Jeremy will cut out a window in one side of the doors so that the geese can look out and we can look in. In the meantime all the poultry will stay together in their winter homes and hope that the foxes stay away.
