My dearest cousin, who lives thousands of miles away, is visiting us with her beautiful daughter and her brother who lives in London.  In spite of the distance she shares news of the Gables on the blog and finally met a bedraggled lucy and beattie and the geese as the rain poured down on us.  We are now indoors, with the fire roaring and Jeremy cooking us all a hot breakfast of omelettes, followed by my new best recipe -homemade raspberry ice cream.
