During our three day absence the builders have fitted a back porch outside the kitchen door.  This is where we previously kept our Wellington boots under an awning but, when the rain fell and the wind blew, we would step into our boots and find an inch of water inside the foot.  Yuck and squelch.  Now we can be sure of dry wellies before we venture out into the rain.
