Sunflower seeds and peanuts are the staple foods in our bird feeders and the woodpeckers, chaffinches and even blackbirds make short work of the peanuts. But recently a rogue squirrel has not only begun to steal their food but also break through the wire of the feeder. So Jeremy has taped the wire with something that arrived the other day in the post. It’s called “gorilla tape” and is supposed to be super strong. However, this morning the nimble fingered rodent had peeled back the black tape and helped itself to breakfast. More has been applied and we will see who wins the war of the peanuts!

On a less combative note, the marigolds that Jeremy grew from seed are just about to flower.
