The cherries are ripening under the net curtain cover, safe from the ravenous birds. The problem is me….I can’t resist lifting the netting and picking them to see if they are ready to eat.  By the time they are truly red there will scarcely be any left!

This afternoon we went to the farm shop at Wilden and walked through the nursery to the “pick your own” strawberries in the field behind. I discovered that I much prefer “picking my own” at home….pesticide and insecticide free!
