Jeremy and Chris are working outside in the soft Bedfordshire rain.  They are fencing off the pond area and building a gate so that visiting children will not be able to run down the field and plunge head first into the water.  I will never forget the sight of Beatty,  the cow,who jumped into the pond during her runaway escapade last week! This fence and gate also protects the ducklings and their mother and father who reappeared on Saturday.

Certain plants, apparently, grow better when planted together so there is a bed of sweetcorns and squashes( and some stray weeds that need my attention).
