At 5 am when we awoke jeremy jumped out of bed to check on the animals. He came back from the far end of the field where all the animals were huddled together having spent a quiet night inside ( and not outside) of the post and rail fencing. Thank goodness.
UK Power Network have kept their promise of cutting off the power today so that they can connect three phase electricity to the garage conversions. This means disconnecting the power to the Cornfields Hotel, the Colmworth Golf Club and even the dear neighbours who ran around chasing Beattie last night. I am surprised that any of them are still talking to us!
We are now waiting for the delivery, today, of six beds and a refrigerator and in the meantime Craig continues to cut through the ground with the digger to bring water to the field and Jeremy and Chris are plugging the cow sized holes in the hedge with pieces of wood. I am sitting quietly indoors unable to do very much without electricity so, maybe, I can stay out of the way and read my book.

Always a treat to read about your adventures……and what adventures! I always look forward to the next instalment. Brana x
