One of those days…..

I came outside early to find Jeremy assembling a wooden park bench which is now sitting beside his favourite place at the Gables – the pond.  We sat on the bench in the early morning sunshine and watched our pair of resident woodpeckers flying in and out of the ash tree feeding their young.

Craig and Neil were at work early on the garages and Andy, the painter, arrived to discuss the painting and paint colours.  Then a huge lorry pulled up and unloaded a pallet with eight sheep hurdles.  They are now assembled in the field awaiting the sheep. Although whether I will be able to tame the Jacobs to feed from my hand and enter them is another matter.

Then Chris arrived, he is going to help us outside with gardening, putting up chicken runs and lots more.  I am mowing the lawn today and he is using the heavy hedge trimmer to reach the parts I simply cannot reach.

James the tanker driver turned up to fill the oil tank and he let me take a photo of him as he said “I’ll be famous” – here’s hoping.

And then another van backed into the drive and offloaded another parcel.  Maybe a paddling pool? I haven’t had time to ask Jeremy and it’s only 12 o’clock!
