Ready for runner beans?

In glorious sunshine Jeremy planted out leeks that are thin as brush bristles but, we hope, will grow tall and thick in the far raised bed. Image

He prepared a cross hatch of bamboo sticks in readiness for the runner beans that are growing in the polytunnel. I ate home made runner bean chutney and cheese with my breakfast. The chutney was made last summer from a surplus of runners that we had in London  If we had a surplus from a suburban back garden then I imagine we will have a super abundance here in Bedforshire. Start saving those jam jars!
