It’s a busy day at the Gables. Matt the plumber arrived to change the rusted cold water tanks for new plastic ones, only the new tanks are too big so he has gone to source smaller ones
Callum is here to spray clean the paved areas around the house and apply weed suppressant ( so that I don’t have to scrape the weeds away again with Jeremy’ old chisel….let’s hope it works)
Craig and Neil are getting on brilliantly with the garages but we are being held up by uk power network ( who have had our money for over five weeks but have yet to to make an appearance even though I spent most of Friday chasing them with promises made right left and centre)
James of Humtree fencing is a power house, digging holes in the earth using a manual implement that grabs the soil and removes it allowing the fence post to be inserted (manually). Then he attaches sheep netting and later today he will put in two more gates to allow us access to the garden but keep the sheep inside…that’s the plan.
And finally Richard of Flawless Furnishing came by to show Jeremy the curtain book and, luckily, he and I chose the same fabric for the garage curtains and blinds.
The wise owl came hunting at 6 am and left as soon as all the contractors arrived in their vans and cars. I expect to see him later when they have all gone home.
btw no advertising revenue has been received for the publicity shots and I am still waiting for B and Q ( see earlier post some weeks ago) to return my call. It could be a long wait.
I am off to sit by the telephone and chase UK power networks. Hmmmmmmmm………

Nice to know that even you super-efficient super-humans who Get Things Done encounter some delays and setbacks – but I expect it all to be rolling along apace again soon.
