Jeremy got up early to till the earth pile near the far pond getting it ready for grass sowing.  This was the ground that the digger had dumped after removing it when thenew septic tank was put in place in the autumn.  Luckily we had help with scattering the grass seeds from our grandson and his four friends ( all brothers) who were spending the first day of their holidays visiting us on “the farm” as they like to call our smallholding!

After sowing the seeds and scattering some of them to the Bedfordshire breezes the boys went to see the goldfish and gave them a mid morning snack.  If they play their cards right they might even get a ride in the trailer on the back of the tractor.
