We have a buzzard!  Craig and I spotted him on Wednesday afternoon and then this afternoon he flew over our heads as Jeremy and I went for a walk around our field.  Such a wonderful sight but a worry for baby ducklings when we stock the pond in the spring.

The goldfinches were eating sunflower seeds outside the kitchen window this morning and the woodpecker pecked on the peanuts as I stood preparing food inside for the weekend visitors. There are signs of spring everywhere with buds on trees and plants that we will have to identify. Just one week until “official” spring time.  

On our walk around the garden I paused to sit outside the summer house and to admire the pond fountain and the daffodils. Although it was sunny the Bedfordshire wind whipped around me and I was soon ready to get moving again!
