The potatoes, wrapped in foil, cooked to perfection in the wood burner. They were crispy brown ( ok actually sone were smoky black) on the outside and deliciously soft inside.
We cut them open and put slices of cheese inside and sat on the rug by the hearth and devoured them.
Outdoor work gave us a good appetite and eating hot food ( instead of our usual cold sandwiches) was a special treat.
